The consulting team and the client team all work together for a successful implementation.
Our best work is done when the two halves of the project team-the client team and the outside consulting team-work towards the project goals together. Below are some best practices for the client side throughout The Heart.
- Open up time to allocate to the project. If the stakeholders are already working 40+ hour weeks, let’s plan out when the best time to start project work is.
- The project is for the team to adopt a new process. If we’re feeling pushback on adoption, let’s address it.
- Take a natural pace. Sometimes we can’t force adoption, but we can break the change into manageable steps.
- During prototyping and UAT, new requests will come up. If requests don’t work towards the overall project goal, let’s slot them for a future phase.
- The project may not end where we foresaw in the beginning. We work to keep an open channel with the executive sponsors to communicate changes as they come.
- Are we moving slower than expected? Is the team struggling to follow the process changes? Let’s discuss.
